Kellie's.....Grandfather, Richard P. Simpson, Sr. retired after fifty years at Brockway Glass. He took his gold watch and went on to work as a Security Guard at the Claysville Truck Stop until he became very ill and had to quit his job. Pap died January 27,1998. He was honored by the South Frannklin Township Volunteer Fire Department for his many years of service to the fire company. He and Grandmother Simpson were active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and started the first Little League Baseball team in their neighborhood of Lagonda along with other members of the community. Pap was a big man and a lot of people feared him due to his height and demeanor, but he was as gentle as a teddy bear with all his grandchildren. Top photo is one of very few pictures of Pap.
